Like a fuzzy re-run of some obscure flick, we present to your screens a rare little late-winter arrival from that resident homecat Azlan. Composed in one night from voice recordings taken on a smashed iPhone 4 during 2016, this hazy gem tracks a raw & ripe splice of memory and creativity through field recordings, collaged conversation and quick cuts from a cyphered rhyme book.

Keeping a firm grasp on the abstract without straying too far into avant-garde disarray, Voice Memos is the sound of an artist experimenting with a soulful reinvention of traditional record formatting in search of a more raw and animated medium. Across its short expanse, between the crackles of grain and background fuzz, you might just catch glimpses of that vision at work.

We hope you savour and enjoy this as we do, like a frosty window looking onto early morning sun, or the blurry nostalgia of driving past the first house you ever lived in.
